Terms & conditions
Last updated: October 10, 2026
These terms govern the use of payitforward.international and the donations made through it.
1. Acceptance
By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. The website is operated by Pay It Forward International, org.nr. 938096406, Norway.
2. What we do
Pay It Forward organizes humanitarian missions, such as “Backpacks of Hope”, and publishes evidence of how donations are used. The website is used to inform, receive donations, and coordinate volunteers.
3. Donations
- Donations are voluntary and go to the missions and to maintaining the platform, unless a specific purpose is stated.
- If a campaign exceeds its goal or cannot be carried out, the funds will go to another mission with similar aims.
- For now, donations are collected through Spleis (SpareBank 1), subject to its own terms. We do not ask for donations or bank details through other channels or through unauthorized profiles.
- Donations are non-refundable, except for a demonstrable error (duplicate charge or wrong amount) reported to hi@payitforward.international within 14 days.
- Pay It Forward International is not currently approved for tax-deductible donations in Norway (skattefradrag), so donations cannot be deducted on your tax return.
4. Volunteering and missions
Participation in missions is governed by the volunteer conditions and, where applicable, by a separate agreement. Each participant is responsible for their own travel documents, health, and insurance, unless the agreement says otherwise. Pay It Forward is not liable for travel risks beyond its reasonable control.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the website for unlawful purposes, attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data, or publish content that is offensive, false, or infringes third-party rights.
6. Intellectual property
The website's texts, photos, logos, and code belong to Pay It Forward or their authors. You may share our content for non-commercial purposes, crediting the source and linking to the website.
7. Liability
We do our best to keep the information accurate and the website available, but we do not guarantee it. We are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the website, except where the law does not allow this exclusion.
8. External links
The website may link to third-party sites. We do not control their content or their policies.
9. Privacy
How we process your data is explained in the Privacy policy and on the Data protection page.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are submitted to the courts of Stavanger, without prejudice to the rights granted to you as a consumer by the law of your country.
